Terms and conditions

| Terms and conditions

Please read these before booking in. By booking in for a tattoo and sending a non-refundable booking fee (deposit), you are accepting all of the terms and conditions below. You will also be given a consent form to fill in on your arrival to your tattoo appointment outlining some of the following conditions. Please feel free to ask me questions about these terms via my social medias before booking in.

| Pricing

My hourly rate for new customers is £90 and my day rate is £450. This includes drawing time before or during your appointment and your deposit (AKA booking fee) will come off the final price on the day of your appointment (See deposits for more information).

My minimum charge is £80 to cover set up and breakdown time.

If you have asked for a quote on your tattoo the price given is not binding. I charge per hour so it is fair for both of us. The amount of time a piece takes depends on many factors including size of the design, detail, style (Colour takes a lot longer), area of the tattoo, skin type, if we're covering scars/stretch marks etc, which cannot always be accounted for whilst quoting.

If you have a budget for your tattoo please let this be known on your booking form. This needs to be agreed upon before we book you in or your deposit may be forfeited. It is recommended to not have a budget for the whole piece but for each session if needed: you'll love your new piece more if you get it the size etc that you want. We can plan doing different sections or stages in different sessions to adhere to your budget each time.

| Deposits

To book in I will require a non refundable booking fee (AKA a deposit). This is to secure your date and is used as insurance before I start designing your tattoo (or to hold a pre-drawn tattoo design). This is £60 for anything under 2 hours and £100 for anything over. This is taken off of your original appointment. This can be paid via bank transfer, PayPal or in cash at the studio.

I have a 72 hour cancellation policy; if you cancel or postpone your appointment with less than 3 days notice your deposit/booking fee will be forfeited and another will then be required to book you back in (and/or hold the pre-drawn tattoo design again). Over 72 hours notice and we can move the deposit/booking fee over to a different date. Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to move your appointment so I can book in another customer.

If you are booking more than one appointment I will require a suitable deposit for each date.

If you are using a tattoo voucher as a deposit and cancel or 'no show' within the 72 hours, the full amount of the voucher will be forfeited.

Repeat cancellations/'no shows' may result in having to pay for the appointment in full if you choose to book in again.

| Tattoo design

Completely changing your mind on a design may forfeit your deposit/booking fee if I’m notified within 72 hours of your booked appointment. This is to cover time spent designing and organising. Most details are able to be adjusted on the day of your appointment, as long as the initial idea stands, at no additional cost.

I shall not copy someone else's design as this is plagiarism. By booking in you understand that any reference photos you send over with your booking request form will not be copied and can only be used as inspiration.

I do not charge for drawing your design before the appointment but on the very rare occasion that we do not end up tattooing on your given date because we can't agree on a design, then your deposit will be forfeited or an appropriate amount of, as a design fee. This is usually avoidable if you have already given me a full description of what you would like tattooed in your original booking form and we have discussed and agreed upon certain design ideas.

I cannot be held responsible for script or numeral tattoos - I will do my best to double and triple check where I can and get the customer to do the same, but ultimately it is down to the client checking the design and then the stencil before application.

| Arriving at your appointment

Make sure you get a good nights sleep before the day of your tattoo and do not consume any alcohol as this may result in your blood thinning which will effect the tattoo. Please do not apply self tan or moisturiser at least 2 days before your tattoo (At least 3 weeks for fake tan). Make sure you stay out of the sun before (and after) your tattoo; I cannot tattoo sunburnt skin.

Please follow these recommendations or you may be turned away and your  booking fee (AKA non-refundable deposit) will be forfeited.

Please make sure you are on time to your appointment or let me know asap if you are running late. If you are more than 30 minutes late you may lose your deposit as it will disrupt the appointments after yours and you may miss your time slot. This is especially important on flash days and when you're having a smaller design tattooed. This will be settled on a case by case basis.

Please let me know before hand if you need to leave your appointment at a certain time; please do not leave this to the day of the appointment. This is to ensure that I can book in the correct amount of time necessary, and potentially book someone else in after.

I cannot tattoo anyone that is under the age of 18. You must be 18 on the day of your appointment and should be able to provide valid and legal ID on the day of your appointment when needed. If you cannot produce valid ID on the day, you will lose your deposit (booking fee), and another will be needed to book another appointment.

| Medical

I cannot tattoo over or around certain skin conditions or if you suffer with certain medical conditions, until the procedure has been signed off by a doctor. This includes but is not limited to:

- Skin conditions such as but not limited to: acne, scarring, eczema, psoriasis, freckles, moles or sunburn in the area to be tattooed, or if you have any type of infection or rash anywhere on your body.

- If you are on any medication including but not limited to: blood thinners or antibiotics.

- If you are pregnant or nursing.

- If you have been sunburnt in the area of the tattoo.

By booking in, you agree that it is not reasonably possible for me to determine whether you might have an allergic reaction to the pigments or processes used in your tattoo, and you agree to accept the risk that such a reaction is possible. You agree that if you have any known allergies to tattoo pigments or otherwise you will let me know in your booking form.

Infection is always possible as a result of the tattooing procedure, particularly in the event that you do not take proper care of your tattoo. You have received aftercare instructions (This can be found in the aftercare section in the menu at the top of this page, and will be provided again after you've been tattooed) and agree to follow them while your tattoo is healing.

If you have a condition that might affect the healing of this tattoo you will advise me beforehand. If this is done within 48 hours of your appointment you may lose your deposit if we cannot tattoo in the chosen area.

| Touch ups

Your first touch up is free if I was the original artist and this is booked in within the first year. This covers small sections of linework, shading, colour etc if the problem lies with the application. If the touch up is needed due to disregarding the aftercare instructions then this will need to be paid for; my minimum charge is £60 for touch ups. This includes (but isn't limited to): picking at the tattoo whilst healing, using the wrong aftercare cream, fading from sun exposure, fading from soaking in water etc.

I also cannot offer free touch ups to finger tattoos unless they are booked in with another larger piece. This is as of the nature of the area and the likelihood of them naturally falling out.

| Clothing

Darker clothing is always more appropriate to wear whilst getting tattooed. I cannot be held accountable for clothing becoming marked or stained by the ink or the rest of the tattooing procedure.

| Vouchers

I do sell vouchers for any amount but only if they are being bought for my existing customers. This is to avoid disappointment for if I cannot do the tattoo the voucher receiver wants. I don't like taking money from people if I'm not 100% certain it's something I can do: I always want to produce my best work on and for everyone!

These all have a 1 year use-by date on them. These can be paid for by bank transfer or by cash. These can only be picked up in person as I cannot be held accountable for loss in post etc. These vouchers are also non-refundable.

When booking in for a tattoo using a voucher I will require a separate cash deposit if you are booking online. Vouchers can be accepted as a deposit if the voucher is given to me in person before booking in.

| Numbing cream

I only recommend numbing cream in certain situations as it only lasts a small amount of time, therefore it is not suitable for anything over a half day session. Please let me know beforehand if you are considering using it for your tattoo. It is always necessary to do a patch test a few days before your appointment away from the area you want tattooing.

I cannot administer numbing cream myself onto your skin and you do so at your own risk. I cannot be held accountable for how the tattoo heals when using the cream or if you have a reaction to the cream before, after or during the tattoo. Numbing cream does change the skin and can effect the appearance and healing of the skin which again I cannot be held accountable for.

| Healing and aftercare

Tattoos heal to varying effects depending on your skin type, condition and complexion. By booking in you understand that variations in the appearance of the colour of your tattoo are possible depending on the colour and condition of your skin. You also understand that if you have any skin treatments, laser hair removal, plastic surgery or other skin altering procedures, it may result in adverse changes to your tattoo.

Full aftercare instructions have been provided on this website which can be found in the menu at the top of this page. By booking in you agree to following these steps and acknowledge that any touchups that are needed due to negligence are to be charged at the full hourly rate.

| Miscellaneous

By booking in you acknowledge that a tattoo is a permanent change to your appearance and that no representations have been made to you as to the ability to later change or remove your tattoo. To your knowledge, you do not have a physical, mental or medical impairment or disability which might affect your well-being as a direct or indirect result of your decision to have a tattoo. Also that the obtaining of a tattoo is by your choice alone. You consent to the application of the tattoo and to any actions or conduct for the procedure.

You acknowledge by booking in, sending a deposit and therefore signing this agreement that you have been given the full opportunity to ask all questions which you might have about the obtaining of a tattoo and that all your questions have been answered to your full satisfaction.
