Bespoke resin art, lovingly created by hand in a sleepy village in the heart of the New Forest. Each piece is unique by nature, so original pieces are guaranteed.
| Resin
Resin is prepared and then poured onto the surface and left to cure and harden. The result is an original masterpiece with a shiny glass-like finish. Although resin is not recommended to be subjected to direct sunlight or excess heat, the piece will suit any bright room around the home.
Resin is not always scratch resistant so all trays and serving boards are intended for display purposes only and suitable for very light ware only. As of the nature of the product and the setting time of the resin, a perfect finish cannot be 100% guaranteed. Although perfection is the aim and a meticulous process is put in place in an attempt to achieve it, dust and bubbles can become trapped in the top layer.
All photos of the products that are uploaded are unedited to show the true form of the product. Extra photos or videos can be obliged on request or please refer to my instagram or facebook @onethousandfreckles_art.
| Cleaning and aftercare
The resin pieces are not suitable for dishwashers so it is advised to clean them down with water and minimal soap with a non abrasive cloth. A light polish or polishing compound is recommended to keep your new piece of art shiny after cleaning. Glass cleaner is also suitable for use on resin.
It is not advised to leave anything heavy ontop of the resin as it may leave a dent. In the occurrence that a dent does appear, often it can be smoothed out with a small amount of heat focused around the problem area. Please message me for details on how to do so as too much heat can compromise the artwork.
| Environmental and recycling
In an effort to keep environmentally friendly, tools for resin are reused as much as possible during the creative process. Although not all equipment is recyclable an effort is made to minimise waste in every way possible.
Packaging for postage will most likely be collected from previous post and reused to protect your new artwork for transit. It is asked that you eventually do the same with the packaging to cut down on waste.
| Postage and packaging
Postage is from the UK and is dispatched as soon as possible, but this may take up to 4 days to dispatch. Import fees and extra charges will need to be covered by the buyer; the seller accepts no responsibility. The seller cannot be held responsible for any damages caused by postage. All pieces shall be packaged securely to prevent such damages. A collection option is also available for local buyers around Dorset/Hampshire for no extra charge. Please message directly to arrange this, via instagram or facebook @onethousandfreckles_art.
Please be extra cautious when using scissors or anything sharp when opening the packaging as to not damage the artwork.
